The Mumbai Port Authority has announced 54 Sports Trainee posts for young athletes. This is a great opportunity for anyone between 18 and 25 years of age who is good at sports and wants to train under a government organization.
The selected trainees will get a monthly stipend of ₹20,000, along with a one-time sports kit allowance of ₹10,000 to help cover the cost of their sports gear and equipment. The authority will also provide free shared accommodation, so trainees won’t have to worry about rent or finding a place to stay. On top of that, every trainee will be covered under Mediclaim and accident insurance for their safety and health.
This training program will run for a duration of 10 months. Candidates who are interested must apply before the last date, which is 31 August 2026.

- Athletics – 2 posts (1 male and 1 female, for cross country or long-distance events like 5000m/10000m)
- Shuttle Badminton (Men) – 2 posts
- Cricket (Men) – 10 posts
- Carrom (Men) – 1 post
- Football (Men) – 11 posts
- Hockey (Men) – 12 posts
- Kabaddi (Men) – 10 posts
- Volleyball (Men) – 5 posts
- Table Tennis (Men) – 1 post
