Delhi is all set to host its first-ever Kids Athletics Championship at the iconic Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
The 1st Delhi State Kids Athletics Championships 2026, organised by Delhi Athletics and affiliated with the Athletics Federation of India, will be held on 1st and 2nd September 2026.
Around 1,200 young athletes are expected to take part in the championship, giving kids a chance to experience competitive athletics at JLN Stadium.
Age Categories
The competition will be held for both boys and girls in three age groups:
- Under-8
- Under-10
- Under-12
Events
Children can compete in:
- 60m Race
- Soft Ball Throw
- Long Jump (5m approach run)
Each athlete can participate in a maximum of two individual events.
Who Can Participate?
The championship is open to children from any state or Union Territory in India. Students from schools, academies and clubs can participate.
What Will Winners Get?
Every participant will receive a Participation Certificate.
Winners will receive:
- Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals
- Merit Certificates

Registration can be completed online through www.delhiathletics.com. Participants can also scan the QR code given on the official event poster to register directly.

There will be no late entries and no on-the-spot registration, so parents and coaches should complete the registration within the deadline.
