Being a sportsperson in India is tough. You train hard every day but financial stability is always a worry. North Western Railway has opened Sports Quota Recruitment 2026–27, and this is a real opportunity for athletes to get a government job while continuing their sports career.
Sports Included
This recruitment is open for three sports only:
Wrestling (Freestyle) — Women 50 kg, Women 55 kg, and Men 97 kg
Judo — Women above 78 kg
Shooting — Men 10 Meter Air Rifle

Salary and Benefits
This is a Group C government job with a pay scale of ₹5,200 to ₹20,200. Grade pay ranges from ₹1,900 to ₹2,800 depending on the post.

Eligibility
- Indian citizen, age 18 to 25 years
- Valid sports achievement certificates from the last 2 years are mandatory
- Education: 10th pass for Level 1 posts, 12th pass for Level 2/3, and Graduation for Level 4/5 posts

Selection Process
Selection has three stages — Sports Trial, Sports Achievement Assessment, and Educational Qualification review. Your final merit is based on combined marks from all three. The better your performance and achievements, the stronger your chances.
